Fire In The Belly

"Rev 3: I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you."

As athletes and Coaches, we understand the importance of fire in our belly for competition. I celebrate the urgency we are seeing from Coaches and athletes throughout Delmarva for the things of God. Many teams are praying after games at the college and high school level (UD and DSU praying in picture) and many schools are praying before and after practice.

Some of our campuses are believing God for revival. One Huddle Coach said, "I have never seen a move of God like this in 24 years at this school." We believe there is a fresh move of God's power and spirit in our schools.

Schools are reporting record attendance at Huddles and sport specific Chapels. Despite what you may hear, God is moving in schools; elementary-college. At Wesley we had over 40 athletes at our first two football Chapels, one of those at 715am. Coaches and kids are responding to the Gospel like we have never seen before.

The reality is: You can take God out of the school but the school is still God's, take God out of the family but the family is still God's, take God out of our teams but the team is still God's: "Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;" May God show us a vision for what he all ready owns in our lives.

We pray the urgency of Rev 3:1-3 would send new fire into our personal lives, giving us burning hearts for repentance, salvation and deliverance. My wife woke me up Sunday morning at 5am sharing fresh anointing and fire from heaven. It inspired me and has given me urgency for the lost but more importantly it has created fresh urgency for her and our four "arrows".

Many believers agree that Jesus is coming back but we often get consumed in our day to day business, personal pursuits, spiritual blockades or trials that we suppress an opportunity for fresh fire to burn in our belly for evangelism and/or for the fire of repentance to liberate us. Martin Luther said we should: "Live like Jesus died yesterday, rose today and is coming back tommorrow." If I make a determination that I will see tommorrow, that makes me the Lord of my life, right?

God may we walk in a "revelation anointing" with fresh fire in our belly. May God burn away everything that holds us supernaturally releasing us to advance the Gospel of the Kingdom in ourselves, our homes and beyond! God give us a fire for repentance, for souls, for what breaks your heart! In Jesus name!

May we stop procrastinating what God has all ready spoken and move forward with fire in our belly! Your next divine appointment is moments away, throw gasloine (the Word, prayer and worship) on the fire and burn for Christ today! As Charles Stanley said:" as wood is to the fire so the Bible is to the Christian."

Make it a great day!
